Do not shampoo your hair for at least 24 hours before colouring. Your scalp has natural oils that help protect it during the colouring process. For best results, colour your hair in a warm room that has a minimum temperature of 68 degrees F (20 degrees C). If any colour gets on skin or household surfaces, wipe it off immediately with a damp towel.
